Formula used
The tip is calculated on the pre-tip bill, then the tipped total is divided equally. Rounding each person's share up collects slightly more than the total, leaving a small cushion.
Example calculation
A 120 bill, 4 people, 10% tip: tip = 12, total = 132, ÷ 4 = 33 each.
Round up to 33 (already whole here); on a 118 bill it'd round 32.45 → 33, collecting 132 with a small buffer.
